The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has vehemently called for the immediate release of a student leader reportedly arrested in connection with the ongoing political crisis in Osun State.
According to a statement from the student body, the arrest is an unwarranted action against a student activist, and NANS insists on due process and respect for fundamental human rights. The association emphasized that students should not be targeted or used as pawns in political disputes.
NANS leadership urged authorities to ensure the swift and unconditional freedom of the detained student, warning against any actions that could further escalate tensions within the student community and the state.
