NANS Southwest Congratulates Oyekanmi Dolapo Enoch on National Appointment
The leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Southwest Zone D, has congratulated Comrade Oyekanmi Dolapo Enoch following his appointment as Director of Talent and Cultural Affairs of the association.
In a statement issued on June 27 by the Southwest Zonal Coordinator, Comrade Adeyemo Josiah Kayode (Billion Codes), the zonal leadership described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Oyekanmi’s commitment to student unionism, youth development, and dedicated service to the Nigerian student movement.
The statement noted that the appointment, approved by the National President of NANS, Distinguished Comrade Akinteye Babatunde Afeez (BABTEE), reflects the association’s commitment to entrusting leadership responsibilities to competent, committed, and visionary student leaders.
NANS Southwest also commended the National President for what it described as his continued efforts to strengthen the association through the appointment of capable officials into strategic national offices that will advance the objectives of the organization.
According to the statement, the Directorate of Talent and Cultural Affairs occupies a strategic position within the association by promoting creativity, preserving Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage, discovering and nurturing emerging talents, and fostering unity, diversity, and national integration among students across the country.
The Southwest leadership expressed confidence that Comrade Oyekanmi Dolapo Enoch possesses the experience, leadership qualities, and vision required to make meaningful contributions in the office, encouraging him to champion programmes that promote talent development, cultural engagement, creativity, and active student participation.
The association further expressed optimism that his tenure would provide opportunities for young Nigerians to showcase their talents while strengthening cultural exchange and collaboration among students from different institutions and regions.
NANS Southwest also congratulated other newly appointed national officers, urging them to work collectively, uphold the values of integrity and selfless service, and remain committed to advancing the objectives of NANS while protecting and promoting the interests and welfare of Nigerian students.
